The Startup Visa Lithuania programme is designed for innovative non-EU entrepreneurs who wish to establish and develop a startup in Lithuania.
The startup project is assessed by an institution authorised by the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation, which evaluates the innovation potential of the business idea, as well as the applicant’s qualifications, financing, and business plan.
A temporary residence permit issued under the Startup Visa programme is granted for 2 years. After this period, the permit may be renewed for an additional 3 years, provided that the authorised institution confirms that the startup continues to meet the programme requirements.
If the startup activity is discontinued, the foreign national must leave Lithuania unless they obtain another legal basis for residence in Lithuania.
