Rait Kaarma

Rait Kaarma is a partner and attorney at law at ProventusLaw Advokaadibüroo OÜ with more than 20 years of experience advising multinational corporations, listed companies, and fintech startups on cross-border corporate, tax, and regulatory matters. He has extensive experience in compliance, AML/KYC, legal innovation, and complex international projects.

He advises clients on corporate, commercial, tax, and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on fintech, M&A, compliance, dispute resolution, and arbitration. He has also acted as lead counsel to a leading crowdfunding company, providing on-site support during its early growth phase and helping to establish legal and compliance frameworks, including AML/KYC solutions.

Rait also advises on intellectual property and IT law, including multimedia law, and is a specialist in sports law. His professional background combines traditional legal advisory work with practical experience in LegalTech, RegTech, SaaS-based legal solutions, and knowledge management.

He is a member of the Estonian Bar Association, the International Fiscal Association, and the Fundamental Rights Committee of the Estonian Bar Association. He has also lectured at the University of Tartu on legal aspects of businesses based on intellectual property.
